Whether they’ve lost interest in the field they’ve been working in or simply need to move on for financial reasons, many people start a new year thinking about a complete career overhaul. What steps should someone who wants to move on from their current career take to transition into another field?
There is good news and not-so-good news for anyone in that position, according to Samantha Ettus, workforce trend expert and CEO of Park Place Payments.
“The good news is that there has never been a more active job market both in hiring and layoffs and everywhere in between so this is a great time to make a big move,” Ettus says. “The bad news is that it won’t be easy — but nothing worth achieving ever is.”
