The business is demanding (and using) multiple communications tools such as instant messaging, video, chat rooms, collaboration tools, social media and texting. They like the speed, efficiency and spirit of collaboration, at often significant cost savings. But how does IT keep up with all these changes?

Martini: Compliance is a team sport. You need input from across the organization. IT and Security teams are sometimes reluctant to open up those conversations because they feel like there are “too many cooks in the kitchen”. But you need that insight, because as technologists, you may not have a clear view. You need the business to help clearly define their requirements.
