In keeping with Kentico’s announcement last year pointing to an early 2015 release, Kentico 8.2 has now officially arrived.
With its headquarters in the Czech Republic, Kentico is a respected Enterprise Web Content Management System and Customer Experience Management solution, available on-premise or via the cloud. Founded in 2004, Kentico offers solutions for website building, intranets, community sites and e-commerce websites.
Kentico 8.1 was recently released back in August 2014, and that version brought about its own set of features, including SharePoint integration and social marketing improvements. Kentico 8.2 has built upon those marketing features somewhat.
Kentico 8.2 allows marketers to quickly deliver the right marketing message, at the right time, via the right digital channel. Here’s an overview of what’s new.
Bi-Directional SharePoint Synchronization:
Kentico’s new SharePoint Integration module streamlines collaboration while facilitating better file sharing. Kentico’s new bi-directional SharePoint synchronization feature means that all changes made in Kentico will be made automatically on the SharePoint server. So, your files are always up to date, and everyone has the latest versions.
Easy Shipping Calculations:
With shipping costs affected by order value, size, weight, geography, shipping provider, and customer, providing shipping discounts and free delivery to certain customers can be difficult to calculate. One-size-fits-all solutions are not for everybody, so Kentico has made it easy to create a shipping module that presents all the tools you need to calculate shipping costs in your own custom user interface.
