Shannon Atlas is a freelance publicist working with nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area.
With more than 20 years of public relations experience in the fields of performing arts, luxury retail, technology and book publishing, Shannon is a strong writer with extensive media contacts in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Shannon began her PR career in the New York book publishing industry, working with well-known authors including New York Times journalist Gabrielle Glaser and National Public Radio correspondent Jacki Lyden. Since 1998, Shannon has lived in the Bay Area, working in the technology industry for NRW, a local agency, and later as communications manager for Responys.com (Nasdaq: MKTG), an email marketing company. Shannon has primarily been working with performing arts and other nonprofit organizations since 2002.

Shannon earned her B.A. in English and American Studies from Tufts University in Medford, MA. She currently lives in San Francisco with her husband and two daughters.
