For more than 50 years, social psychologists have used a method known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to determine personality types. The test, based on the work of Carl Jung in the 1920s, essentially used four aspects of personality to create 16 possible combinations.

The resulting types were denoted by a four-lettered acronym (ex.: INFP – Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Perceiving).

The Myers-Briggs is based on sound, accepted science and has become a common reference point for companies and organizations all over the world. Until now.
